Get Ready To Lead

About The Programme

Get Ready to Lead is for anybody who wants to learn more about and advance their capability in leadership. So, if you’re new to a leadership role, Get Ready to Lead is for you. If you’re already in a leadership role and want to develop your skills, it’s for you too. And if you’re not yet in a leadership role, and want to prepare yourself for the future, you’ll also find it beneficial.

Over a 12 week period you’ll examine what it means to be an effective leader in today’s world from three perspectives. First, as an individual; second as a member of a team; and finally from the collective experience of leaders worldwide. Doing this means that by the end of the course you’ll be equipped to launch yourself into a leadership career successfully.

How will this be achieved?

How we facilitate our learning journey is one of the key ways in which a Popcorn programme goes above and beyond the norm. We truly believe that the learning journey is a collaborative one between the learner (you), the training provider (us), and the organisation (your employer). As part of a small, dedicated group learning together in a supportive online community, you’ll benefit from a rich and absorbing experience.

Learning Outcomes

 By the end of the programme, you will demonstrate knowledge, skill and behaviour in the following areas:

  • The nature of leadership;
  • The individual leader;
  • Leadership in organisations;
  • Leadership styles;
  • Adaptive and authentic leadership;
  • Teams and individuals;
  • Communicating as a leader;
  • Leadership in action; and
  • Governance.
